There are several ways that your team can volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County:

Team Build Day: Construction Site
Our Team Build Day (TBD) Program is a group volunteer event created for businesses and corporations looking to make a positive impact in our community. This memorable day of building is perfect for departmental outings, team training, and convention groups. TBD volunteers create an immediate difference as they partner with Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County in building, renovating, or repairing a home. Team Build Days also allow the group to help Habitat accomplish its goal of eliminating overcrowded, substandard housing through a financial contribution to the affiliate*.
Requested amounts are as follows:
Team Build Day on a homebuilding construction site: $2,500.

All of our Team Build Day Partners receive:
- A build day on the Habitat for Humanity construction site (for up to 10 people)
- Lunch provided
- One (1) link/post on social media sites (Facebook/Twitter)
- A mention in our monthly e-Newsletter, Habichat
- Invitation to and recognition at the Home Dedication
This donation completely covers the costs incurred by your team of up to 10 volunteers working with us for a day on one of our construction sites. (Teams of greater than 10 have some options at other construction sites during certain phases of construction and can also consider sponsoring multiple build days, as our schedule allows.)
Why do we ask your team to donate? On average, each Habitat house costs over $100,000 to build. Individual and group contributions are our most important source of funding, and your donation helps us supply the materials, training and supervision needed for a successful Team Build Day.
Funds can be raised by individuals, companies, or through matching funds and other grants. By sponsoring your build day, your organization takes a leading role in addressing the critical issue of poverty housing in Montgomery County. We’re happy to offer ideas for successfully raising funds through projects, activities, and events.

Home sponsorship is key to the success of our mission! Working with individuals, corporations, faith groups, and others, our home-sponsorship program is a major source of funding for the "sticks and bricks" necessary to build simple, decent, and energy-efficient homes. In addition to providing funding, teams of volunteers from our home sponsors help construct "their" homes with guidance from Habitat's construction staff. Habitat Montco builds in various areas around Montgomery County and currently has active build sites in Norristown, Pottstown, and Bridgeport.

Team Volunteering at ReStore Montco
We can schedule your team’s volunteer day at our ReStore (discount home improvement store) without a financial donation. Volunteering at the ReStore is a great option for all groups, including those that aren’t able to raise funds for a Team Build Day on a construction site.
How does it work? The ReStore accepts donations of new and used building supplies, home goods, appliances, etc., and sells them to the public at greatly reduced prices. Every penny of revenue goes towards future projects that end substandard housing in Montgomery County—which means that volunteering at the Restore directly helps us raise money to build more Habitat houses, repair more homes, and to revitalize neighborhoods! Volunteers are critical for processing, organizing and stocking donations, as well as providing customer service to visitors.
We’re happy to work with your team to schedule a day for you at the ReStore, where your work will serve as the very first piece of the Habitat home building process. It’s a vital part of our mission, and it makes for a great day of volunteering with your team, too!

Service Build Days

Important Group Information
After your Team Build Day is scheduled, your group's main contact will receive an email with all pertinent information for your build day (i.e. location, what to wear, waivers, etc.). All participants must complete and sign the "Waiver of Liability" as part of online sign-up. Group orientations will take place the morning of the Team Build Day.
