Now that we have officially started working at our Bridgeport location, we have had some great volunteer groups out on site, and even more great groups to come!

We started out with back to back weekends of Villanova volunteer groups. First was their wonderful Alumni group which was spearheaded by our very own Joe Catuzzi who is a member of Habitat Montco's Board of Directors!  The following weekend we had their current Campus Chapter out on site. This group works with us frequently and is a great partner group to have out on site, as they are such a hard working bunch of students. Coming up we will be getting our Habitat Montco staff out of the office and on to the work site to give it a go at something new for each of us!  We also have a few Build Days coming up for individual volunteers that just want to work hard on the construction site!

In March, we have a completely packed schedule with groups coming in each week, starting with our wonderful Collegiate Challenge group from Assumption College in Massachusetts.  This will be the 11th year that a group from Assumption has come to Pennsylvania to work with Habitat Montco, and we are so excited that they are coming back this year!  Last year’s group was full of hard workers, and we are expecting that they do the same this year, just as they have for the past 10 years!  We will also be working with groups from Wawa, DOW, and IBEW Local 98!  Wawa is a group that is new to working with Habitat Montco, however, we are so excited to begin this partnership with such a dedicated crew!  DOW has been a loyal Habitat partner for many years now, and we are thrilled to have them out on site for multiple days to assist our construction crew!  DOW volunteers have been such a huge benefit to our organization and we are very thankful for their dedication to our mission!  IBEW Local 98 began working with Habitat Montco during Rock the Block this past fall in Norristown, and they have been loyal volunteers and supporters ever since!  They are such a great group of hardworking individuals, and we are so happy to be able to continue working with them on multiple occasions!

We are so excited for all of the work that is coming up, and we are ready to put these groups to work!  So far, we have been impressed by the high level of effort put forth by our volunteer groups. If you have a group that might be interested in volunteering with us either on the Construction site or at the ReStore, please contact Cara Przybylowicz, our Volunteer and Community Relations Manager, at cara@habitatmonto.org to schedule dates!
